More About Intranets Than Most Dare Venture

Intranets are a predictable, confined implementation of the WWW that allow faster response and control, while staying editable and configurable through a browser. Through password protection and user grouping, different departments receive targeted information which can be approved, edited and published to the larger web if applicable. Through a set of CGI scripts written to work in ISP UNIX as well as Win32 Perl.

Databases that are kept locally and away from IP access, firewalling without extra software. Local IP addressing binds all studio machines to an internal server. Client data and project progress are available, linked into a calendar system. The Intranet structure runs on free server software and open standards. Specific file locations and graphic designs plug into the universal structure which allows multiple copies of the root scripts to appear totally differently. The user groups can be extended to web clients, and time-permitting, our scripts will be optimized and compiled. Then, all user groups retain visual control of their scripts, and their content remains where it is, but the routines in the scripts remain all centrally located.

The issue of syncing intra updates is solved by cascading commands, where a web addition sends a copy of it's database update to the internal version and vice versa. All users in affected groups would be notified of changes happening within their content, and the system administrator would receive relative script changes and capability versions. Within the subscription period, all members would be in the know of answers questions solutions and products that become available through the interaction of ideas between interested parties.

All live intra content would be available to catalog or archive at will, With signoffs on requested changes or updates and a group approval database that managed user reactions and final drive locations of all facets of content from history to story telling to interactive performance art to organized revolt and artistic depictions of synthesis. With an undercurrent of live content and priority setting chat sessions.

Understanding user response will help us target our development and promotion in certain directions while disseminating keywords and editorializing intros to lead people to our staff. Our intranet will collect stats, tech tips and manage out LAN setup, client list, and resumes. This way vital stats can be incorporated in Meta tags which will be stitched into placeholders in flat page mirrors of scripts iterated with a seed page generator. So data edits trigger data mirroring which generates new versions of query pages.

By using pull quotes and changeable style scripts, we can write once with many clients renting dedicated versions of our script base. Email server push, updates or intro pages will be mailed to help the end user Admin their script by adding Databases, Sub Groups, Calendars, Mailing Lists and Discussion Forums which can be configured from the user's subscription page, with a billing system that registers client's new script usage and supports password activation upon secured credit token verification.
