Getting Technical
Production Manager Christine Patterson has begun exploring the world of system configuration reconstructing her system 100 Acre Woods AKA: Pooh, from the ground up reversing, repartioning, formatting, and reinstalling system and data files on the two resident hard drives due to increased space requirements. Also added to her system was a U.S. Robotics 33.6 Sportster voice modem enabling her to work remotely with ease.
Faster, Stronger, Better
Late in the week, Tate Madler, our Creative Director turned a few knobs and tweaked with a few setting on Beauty to provide increased performance to our Internet and Intranet connectivity, and proxy service access to blazing 56k per second with a point of presence connection within 2 miles of The Studio. Next week we will be investigating remote adminstration of Windows '95 machine registries for robust updates and as research of systems and their configurations on the LAN, WAN, and for kiosk installations.

Client Side
Star Struck
After unforseen BIOS problems on Bardot an AST Advantage+ computer at the site of Madler & Peldyak early Wednesday, The Studio was consulted to replace the older computer system with a newer more robust machine. Quickly Tate Madler speced out a fully loaded Intel Pentium 166 workstation and ordered it from our long standing friends at MicroTech U.S.A. Deliverable on Monday for full configuration and installation that same day. A special thanks to MicroTech U.S.A. for their services and a very special deal, yet again. As well we would like to thank Madler & Peldyak for their donation of Bardot which will serve through a redistribution of parts around The Studio's personalized workstations, and benefit perhaps a completely new system in the end.

On Location
A very special congratulations to Christine Diane Patterson, now working directly with Microtech U.S.A. at there Wells Street Location. She will be making monthly updates to their Internet site as well as other web site designs for them on a freelance basis. Already she has put Frontpage on her list of "Can Do's" and will likely learn very much about Microsoft's Internet Information Server as well as a miriad of other technologies from the folks that made so much of our work feesable, and considerably faster. That's two kudos for MicroTech U.S.A. this week, how can you keep yourself from liking these guys?
