The Obelisk was the forerunner of machines used for test installs of the UNIX operating system environment. A rather typical system the machine aptly accepted Red Hat Linux after outliving it's previous role as a home control system and cd/video jukebox through inhouse software created in Visual Basic 3.0. SInce the loss of this machine the memory lives on in it's namesake Pentium 200 now stationed at The Studio.
