"Of course it's natural causes, people explode all the time."

Due to a strange cosmic reaction created by the tenth planet going into retrograde at the same moment that a message from the Dog Star was passing through, funny things happened in cybrespace last week. Strange incidents have been reported world-wide on the Internet and are now being covered up by a government conspiracy to prevent the fall of the computer generated economy. Unfortunately we at Qru Studios are not immune to such supernatural phenomenon and our newsletter fell prey just as we were sending it out. We apologize to those who received six copies of the newsletter as well as to those who did not receive any. We do suggest that you all visit Qru's News on-line to see how it should really have looked. We have installed a shield made up of Kabalistic chants and aluminum foil to protect us from future waves in the time-space continuum.

Top of the News

sWAN
Based on our success with integrating the LAN from Madler & Peldyak, Qru Studios has developed a new service for our clients. sWAN, or small Wide Area Network, which will enable us to administrate clients networks remotely. This service will primarily be offered to clients whose networks we install as a part of a service contract. This will greatly reduce our clients cost on expensive full time administrators that are generally unnecessary for smaller systems. It will also improve response time especially in these snowy Chicago winters when conventional consultants can not get through on the roads.

Law of the LAN
The LAN for Madler & Peldyak is completed now and fully administratable from our office at the Studio. We are in process of obtaining specialized software for the company as we speak to handle their upgraded billing and appointment information. The small law firm now has a computer system that rivals those of some of the largest companies in America. Madler & Peldyak will be donating their old Novell network system to Qru Studios which will enhance our understanding of legacy networks and potentially accessing them from more advanced systems. As we learn the nuances of UNIX we will be integrating it into our own system, as well. The new system will shortly be added to our WAN next generation of pages under the name of sWAN.

Meeting With Alibis
Christine Patterson will be representing Qru Studios in a meeting with the folks at Kreative Web Solutions later in October. Our collaboration with Kreative Web Solutions has enabled both companies to provide our clients and the Internet community as a whole with a higher level of service and design. This will mark the first meeting between our two companies and its major focus will be to get acquainted with each others primary goals and to discuss plans for mutual futures. We hope to continue working with this talented and diverse group as both companies grow.

Adding Resources
The Qru Studios iNTRAport has just gained some highly valuable information for developers and providers of Internet services. We are now offering a chart of all known HTML tags and the browsers that support them. In addition we have information on special characters and MIME types. In putting together this service to our comrades, Qru developers broadened our knowledge in these areas leading to better services for our clients.

Statistically
A review of our statistical information showed that qru.com is gaining an average of 500 page hits monthly. Growths is at the point that we will see over 8,000 hits on qru.com alone this month. If the trend continues we will have surpassed the 10,000 point by the end of the year. The most popular single page is the VRML pine trees in the Pooh gallery. Having a hunny pot in the trap for hefalumps seems to be what is brining people back again and again. The Vampire Enclave is gaining some regular contributors also. If you have not been to either of these locations we recommend that you go. Both places are lots of fun and we all need a little more fun in our lives.

On the See

Periodic Table
Hardcorp has added to their listing of the elements of the periodic table in a continuing education initiative. Now the elements site has a front page with the actual table and links to each of the elements they have completed to date. In addition to silicon, the element that has made the computer revolution possible, they have added tungsten, the stuff incandescent light bulbs are made of and copper, the most common and highly inexpensive metal used in electrical wiring. Hardcorp is currently accepting applications from anyone who has successfully put together a computer or a bomb using these three materials and some form of insulator. Anyone can do it given the proper materials and they are seeking a warped form of ingenuity. If you feel you are qualified send all responses to myob@anticorp.com.

Client Side
New Client
Tate Madler has a meeting scheduled with a potential customer this coming Wednesday. The client is into global marketing on the Internet similar to our Inner Outpost and is interested in our hosting services. We look forward to this opportunity and hope that working together will be of benefit to both companies.
