"Vision: the art of seeing things invisible."
~Johnathan Swift

Things are hopping around the Studio. We have been so busy with bringing lawyers all over Chicago into the 21st century that we have had to put the unveiling of US AND THEM off for another week or two. Not to fear, this will give us the opportunity to gather information from outside sources making the opening even grander than we previously imagined.

Top of the Charts
Our last prediction of hit counts to our site spoke modestly of reaching 10,000 hits for the month of December. We seem to have made a slight miscalculation. For the month of October qru.com received 12,161 page hits with all contingent sites totalling 15,477 and client sites reaching well over 9,000 visitations. The two most popular pages being The Vampire Gallery and The Pooh Gallery. None of our other single pages come close to the popularity of these two with every other page having received less than 1000 unique hits.

Pooh vs. the Vampire
In the battle for dominance within the Qru community, Winnie-the-Pooh is taking on the Vampires, and putting up quite a fight for a mere teddy bear. While the Vampire Gallery homepage alone has received more hits with 3189 hits since its posting in January, the Pooh Gallery homepage itself is getting a better weekly average with 2816 hits in total since posting in March. A thorough data analysis will be performed for our first issue of Volume 3 of Qru's News due out the first week of January. Who will come out on top? Your visitation will make the difference. If you have not seen these pages, you might as well not be the last one to get there.

On the LAN
We Got Gear
Qru Studios has received a great deal of new hardware this week. Purchasing 48 MBs RAM raising 100 Acre Woods to 32 Megs and an additional 32 MBs plus installation of AWE 64 SoundBlaster to the Beast by new Qru member Stacia, bringing this machine close to the multi-I/O level of Hydra and performance of Beauty. We have also acquired from our clients' a surplus 8 MB of RAM, a 14.4 fax modem and two sets of speakers. For the latter, we offer special thanks to SONY Corp. this week. We inherited a set of top of the line speakers with a faulty adapter from a client. Although we were not covered by the warranty, SONY replaced the offending part free of charge. Now attached to The Beast and a very capable sound card, we can hear MIDI sound with wavetable synthesis with clarity beyond perception. If any of you out there are audiophiles, we highly recommend the SRS-PC71 speaker system. Final meis en plas (things in place) for our next system construction scheduled on Monday is laid out with the retrieval of 486 PCI based motherboard.

On the See
Technetium
This week Hardcorp is bringing to the public an element was not always there. Though it exists and is used for radioactive tracing in medicines, technetium is man made. Take a look at their Periodic Table and make up your own mind.

Client Side
Pet Times
Pet Times newspaper contacted the Studio early this week. They are looking for assistance with their web site as well as development of their On-line Pet Mall. We will be meeting with the President of Pet Times on Wednesday to discuss the details. Also, pictures of Butch, our company mascot, will likely be appearing in upcomming issues of Pet Times.

Word got out at Madler & Peldyak and now work is coming in from several other law firms. John D. Jeske & Associates, Ltd. has contracted our services to bring them up to speed with Windows '95 at home, the office, and on to the Internet. Bertram Ebsary, Esq. is using us to assist him in upgrading and operation of his system. Several of the lawyers are asking for training with the updated systems as well as a cab driver and some members of Pet Times newspaper.

Notes From You

"I saw the work that you did for [Adore-A-Pet, Ltd.] and Oh my goodness, it was just so nice."
