But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement.
~Matthew 12:36

Themes 'R' Us
Beginning next week we will be offering client themes. What's that? "We have a theme" you say. Maybe true, but is it your theme, or Microsoft Plus "Dangerous creatures" or "Xena the Warrior Princess"? Does it really represent you, your company? We can create original, custom, and complete makeovers for your windows environment for your company. We can even give you tips and tricks on how to get rid of annoying desktop icons and those in your Start Bar, start up, and shutdown screens, and more... Our first themes will be available for download in the near future, so look out for those. These themes will be focused on Qru Studios Incorporated and The Inner Outpost. You will be able to download them and install them, and then say to yourself, "this would be great for my company." Send all comments and inquiries regarding this to info@qru.com

Incoming Software
After an extensive review of software's usability usefulness and and reliability, Qru Studios has just issued purchase orders for several new pieces of software that we will be integrating into our day to day production routine. Some of the titles selected are Internet Neighborhood, an FTP client; Microangelo, a theme building and windows makeover program; and Textpad, our favorite 32 bit text editor. Next on the agenda is the PowerDesk suite which also enhances productivity in Windows95 by replacing the common explorer and adding utility to your start bar, as well as hunting down the perfect graphic viewer/organizer which has to be out there somewhere, but after testing almost a dozen packages, our creative director has seen many a fantastic feature, unfortunately not all in the same program.

Chattin' It Up
The Webmaster Chat is going back up, for those that missed out, or still miss it the webmaster chat will be installed for a record (60) consecutive days. But don't take that long to go there, go there as soon as it goes up. For those that don't know, Webmaster makes a Java Internet Relay Chat (IRC) server that works on NT and Windows'95. This offers a powerful chat client on a web page that only requires a web browser that is Java enabled, and everyone should have one of those, right? So what are you waiting for? Come talk to us, each other, and people around the world. This will temporarily replace the current client provided by ChatPlanet for the duration of the sixty days. During this time a complete analysis of the usage will make our final purchase decision. This is just one more step to bring us all into somewhat better contact. Arrange meetings, or go there randomly to see what is up. More details will be available in next weeks issue.

The Futura Look
We have taken some rough edges off of our invoicing systems and have an entirely new look and feel for Qru invoices, letter head and brochure standards. This will include the persistent use of an attractive, easy-to-read font that will be made publicly available through themes in an upcoming download area. There you will be able to get our latest Power Point presentation and documents pertaining to our web services. If you already have the Futura Book font you can see the changes on our current Qru pages. More information will be available closer to our day of public posting. Look out, we're getting warmer...

Client Side
New Modem
This week Qru Studios received a 56K modem from Adore-A-Pet, Ltd. The modem was given in further compensation for work done for Adore-A-Pet's Dental DefenderTM products. It has come at a pivotal point in Qru history as we are currently preparing to move to ISDN connections. If shown to adequately meet our needs, this modem could prove to be a viable, and less expensive, alternative. It could also provide for collocation of the various Qru members. Whatever changes take place it would require an extensive reshuffling of our hardware.

We are constantly updating our site or developing our skills in a new technology. The best way to stay informed is to check out our newsletter every Monday. If you want to receive Qru's News right in your E-mailbox each week sign up on our mailing list
