| After a week of intensive effort to get things done, our efforts seemed spoiled as a massive power outage across many of the northern and western suburbs of Chicago left 100,000 homes without power, delaying the publication of this weeks issue of Qru's News. Being unable to apologize for the weather or the electric company, which worked valiantly to regain power to most of the affected areas by morning, we simply hope that this week's issue was worth waiting for. |

Several opportunities have arisen this past week for Qru Studios to augment our collection of office furniture. Building on a current motif of traditional and antique corporate style furniture, we were offered donations like desks, chairs and shelving units. Our only problem now is figuring out which of these things we will really need. |

Touring The Inner Outpost
Qru Studios now allows you to peruse our client listings in small, easy to manage bites. With our tour of both domains and kiosks on the Inner Outpost, it is possible to get a brief overview of our work in one location without having to browse endless pages. The on-line tour was developed in Java Script by Ralph Spindell of IBM Corp. and revamped by Tate Madler our creative director. The tour allows travelers to view our associates' sites rotating periodically at slow, medium or fast speeds controlled by the viewer. The is also the option to stop at a particular site if it catches your eye. To get to either of our tours just go to our domains or kiosk pages and click on Foi or Servil your respective tour guides. Enjoy the sightseeing! And remember: to stop the tour, just click the "pause" or "stop" button. |

New Material
We have just completed new marketing material for our web site design services. Our material focuses on the broader array of services that we now offer with emphasis on business applications. We are primarily promoting a new range of markets and emphasis on products and increased services while providing greater differentiation between hosting services and design portfolio. In the near future we will be developing separate marketing packages for cultural, retail and corporate sites as they are the primary types of organizations that we consistently work with and they all have different needs. Currently in development is a full-color pamphlet for the Inner Outpost highlighting and perhaps clarifying all of our hosting options.
Wholescale Marketing
We are integrating our shopping cart system as an option in our domain hosting package. By combining a variety of clients into one shopping location, visibility is increased for everyone. This new system will involve the capability for vendors to add and remove items from their listing remotely without FTP software, or with FTP software depending on their preference. Also included will of course be the capability to perform secure transactions and do keyword searches for specific items mall-wide. |

Inside the Halls of Qru
We have just updated our choose-your-own-adventure game. Inside the Halls of Qru Studios which is a multimedia excursion where you are in control of the action. There are more than eight possible endings. We have just added "Taps" to play for every ending that you meet with demise. The sound files have been updated so that they can be heard with Internet Explorer 3.0 as well as Netscape. Stay on the look out for future additions. We will be adding new chapters including the legendary "Quest for Tschugar." Here you may find a companion for your journey, see the Qru of yesteryear, and get an idea of just how big the Inner Outpost really is, and where it came from. Keep in mind there is at least two successful ways out of The Halls of Qru Studios once you have entered.

Fiduciary On-Line
This week there will be a much celebrated posting of our updates to the Fiduciary Trust Company International site. Improvements include a more sophisticated look and more intuitive navigation coupled with a complete re-working of all the graphics. However, we will not be able to post three new sections as of yet. The 1996 Annual Report as well as the human resources department job listings and Fiduciary Financial Services (FFS) are undergoing final scrutiny by the various departments involved and should be okayed for posting in the near future. |
