Qru Studios has gotten such positive response from our visitors as a result of our newsletter that we have decided to do something special for you. This week, in celebration of Easter, we are hosting an Easter Egg Hunt with prizes for the top three winners. Several companies have noticed our increase in client and visitor support. Now they want to be a part of all the fun and are sponsoring the Hunt. All this activity is during a time when we are meeting with new clients and making lots of contacts. Hopefully, with your support, we will continue to be busy and bring the public the high quality, content based sites that you love to visit.

Top of the News

Easter Egg Hunt
Qru Studios Incorporated is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on our sites. Each of our affiliated sites; qru.com, The KnowMadz, Anticorp Incorporated, and the Inner Outpost have an egg placed on one of their pages. The first person to find all four eggs and E-mail us the required information, wins $50 cash prize. The $50 prize is being sponsored by Adore-A-Pet, Ltd. Fuel Magazine of Anaconda Press is sponsoring the second place prize with third place being sponsored by Microtech USA.

Those of you who have been following the newsletter have a decided advantage over the casual visitor as you are already familiar with our sites and have been informed of any new sections that have been added over the past few months. For a full set of contest rules go to the home page of any of our sites and click on the Easter Egg Hunt logo. While everyone is invited to play, Qru members and their families, as well as our sponsors and server administrator are ineligible to win prizes. Good luck to all of you and happy hunting!

On the LAN
Shopping Cart
David Cole is in the final stages of development of a shopping cart system. Shopping carts allow a person to purchase a variety of items from different sites hooked up to the same system in one secure purchase. Our system is compliant with frames, tables, Javascript, Visual Basic script, databases, HTML pages, images and secure ordering forms enabling customization to any system. It enables the buyer to get totals at any point to maintain a budget and allows for markups, discounts, shipping costs, taxes for all location and credit card authentication for the greatest ease of shopping. It will be available for sale to clients as soon as we run a battery of tests to ensure maximum stability.

Pooh-rific Presentation
David Sherrod's presentation of the Winnie-the-Pooh VRML site was a huge success. The class was impressed with the level of design and integration of the VRML with the storyline. The Heffalump Trap being the all time favorite. The professor even asked for the URL to visit it on his free time! For those who have yet to visit the Pooh site, go now, go often, it's lots of fun!

On the See
Positive Downsizing
Qru Studios has just reduced the size of all of our sites optimizing them for viewing. Losing no content, we have reduced the size of many of our pictures (in bytes not inches) and removed any material that is out of date or no longer in use. While the difference may not be apparent to many, it will decrease download time for most pages and leaves us with plenty of room to add new material. We hope to uphold standards of bandwidth conservation without compromising content to make your visit to our sites most enjoyable.

Client Side
Flourishing Business
On Friday Creative Director Tate Madler of Qru Studios Incorporated met with Cenflo, Inc., a floral publisher since 1947, to discuss their move onto the Internet marketplace. Cenflo publishes monthly publications like Floral Mass Marketing, and Nursery News, in addition to their pioneer weekly publication Flower News. They have a circulation of over 50,000 per issue, and offer the best rates for advertising in the industry. The meeting went very well ending with Cenflo providing Qru Studios with their advertising and marketing material for conversion into a prototype web site. Still on the table are specifics for setting up in-office Internet access as well as a variety of hosting options. We hope this new relationship will flourish and broaden the future horizons of both companies.

Cartooning
Qru Studios is creating a comic strips for Adore-A-Pet, Ltd. to help them market Xylatol (zi' la tol), a product that can greatly reduce the chance of gum disease and tooth decay in pets. The comics will appear on pamphlets and marketing materials, and hopefully on their web site to reach the greatest number of people. Adore-A-Pet hopes to increase public awareness of the pandemic nature of poor dental hygiene in pets offering Xylatol as a highly effective solution to the problem.
