Qru's News is weekly publication so check here frequently for more important information and updates.

Issues from VOL 1 were analog and burned in the blaze so we cannot provide you with those.

Due to popular demand Qru Studios now has a newsletter. For those who are new to our site, Qru is a web site design firm specializing in multimedia production. Our own sites are constantly being updated to include our new capabilities. This newsletter gives our regular visitors a way to find what's new without having to look through everything and new visitors an easy way to learn what we can do and how to find our points of interest.

Top of the News

The Inner Outpost now offers hosting! Whether you have a huge site with its own domain, or are interested in getting one page and want to put it up where it can be easily found, we can offer you what you need at a price you can afford. For details go to "Information" and "MarketPlace."

Featuring...

Many of even our most dedicated fans may not know that we have a choose you own adventure game on-line. Inside the Halls of Qru was originally an experiment that we did testing some software. The journey brings you through the underground caverns of Qru Studios where eerie sounds and strange creatures lurk. Where you go is entirely up to you. What happens when you get there is a matter of luck so be careful or you may end up being sacrificed to the great god of the cyber-gremlins. To find the Halls without aid from a bookmark, go to the first page of space and click on the green web.

On the LAN

After much intensive research, we at Qru Studios have figured out how to program moving objects into VRML worlds successfully. Be sure to check out our VRML "Content" world in the near future for planets that actually revolve around the sun!

We have just purchased two new modems this week. Our notebook computer has now obtained a PCMCIA cellular modem, granting greater ease of travel for our members. We have also put a fax modem on one of our other machine enabling it as a fax server to keep up with the growing demands of our work.

For all extended Qru members, David is currently maintaining an MS Access database. He is still in process of testing software to create a form-based interface for Windows enabling each of us to query the database and add new records. We will use a large progress field to track new and existing clients' projects' progress. So soon there will be no excuse not to get your finished work in.

On the See

All of the sites owned by Qru Studios, consisting of well over 1000 pages, have just been gone over with a fine toothed comb and updated this past week. David Cole implemented standards for all of our sites to conform to, allowing easy access to whatever our visitors and members may need to find.

Client Side

Our good friends the KnowMadz have finally decided to put two new versions of the House on-line. For those who want the low bandwidth version you can view it in ASCII, or if you are very ambitious you can download a zip file of the entire house furnished complete with sheets on the bed and candles on the desks in VRML.

This week has seen the posting of Anticorp Incorporated, publishers of Void Where Prohibited, inspirational material for those who realized the cause was lost before anyone ever started fighting for it. They also support underground organizations such as Hardcorp, a paramilitary group; and the Urban Defense Coalition (UDC) which publishes live action role playing games (LARP) and training to urban youth in preparation for the coming apocalypse.
