Notes From You

"The fact that the musical phrase is being played again changes the experience, because you've heard it."
~Renee Weber "Diologues with Scientists and Sages"

Sparkling lights glow from the windows of many houses. Families are gathering togaether to share a dinner togather. On Thursday morning children will bounce out of bed in their pajamas with the first light of dawn and run to the living room to look for gifts. This is a time of plenty in the middle of the season of dormancy. Qru Studios wishes all of its readers a very Merry and warm Christmas. For those of our friends who do not celebrate this holiday, we hope that the spirit of love that pervades the world at this time of year infects your heart none-the-less. May you all have family around you.

Conquering the Devil
After much preemptory hype, we are proud to announce, that Loki, the latest addition to the LAN, has taken well to the installation of BSD UNIX. An arduous installation due to the lacking resources of the configured hardware took most of late Wednesday night to complete. This amazing feat was accomplished solo by none other than our Creative Director gone Technical Director, Tate Madler. He states that installation was in many ways far simpler than Microsoft products and looks forward to finding the ins and outs of this unique Operating System Environment.

The Cybre Tree
This week marks the arrival of Christmas. What better way to spend your holiday surfing than at the Qru Studios and Kreative Web Solutions Cybre Tree. Our beautiful tree allows all visitors to decorate the tree with one of several ornaments providers. Visitors can also visit the web sites of and send e-mail to the other visitors of the site. With our tree we hope to bring the entire human family together for this beautiful day.

On the LAN

Put into Trispective
Trispectives, a graphical three dimensional modeling program currently competing with TrueSpace, mysteriously showed up on the LAN mid-week. Trispectives touts a number of features not supported by TrueSpace, but as you can guess, the reciprocal is also true. It should be interesting to compare packages and we are proud to offer you the most diverse content creation tools possible for your design needs.

Audio-Philes
A seldom publicized feature of CD ROM recordable media is the fact that it can duplicate any commercially available music CD. As a test, and of course not for distribution, we created a duplicate of a rare music release with bonus tracks from another album by the same artist. Now that is value added content!

On the See

The Book of Small i
Now over 200 poems are online in the Book of Small I, a heart-wrenching auto-anthology from our very own Creative Director, Tate Madler. Steadily increasing in visitation, the poetry section of our Library has gotten several recent inquiries. The recovery of a lost manuscript allowed for many pieces to be added after having been out of circulation for over six years. This portion of qru.com is not a Sunday in the park. It is fair enough to warn that the mood is macabre, and the emotional content is drastic, what better way to celebrate a Monday? If you feel brave, and emotionally balanced, feel free to explore this unique and truly original book that is exclusively online in our library.
