Notes From You

"Lord of the far horizons,
Give us the eyes to see
Over the verge of sundown
The beauty that is to be."

On the LAN

Upgrades abound around The Studio this week. Hundred Acre Woods has recieved a new PCI motherboard, now capable of emulating a Pentium level machine, with faster bus access to devices attaced to the system. Also added was a new 8-plex CD-ROM in equipment preparation for Christine Patterson working remotely when she re-locates to Wisconsin in March for a duration of 8 months. The disparate remaining parts spawned from this upgrade will go toward making yet another computer which will likely be used as an entry-level workstation.

Banshee, personal workstation fo Stacia Zamora recieved a CD-ROM drive and 28.8 U.S. Robotics Sportster modem bringing it to full multimedia capacity and well rounded cost effective features list. These outstanding items were recovered along with the remainer of Bardot, an older machine that went defunct at the law firm of Madler & Peldyak, mentioned here in prior issues. The other parts from this machine will be deployed in a Top Secret mission taken on here for the Holiday Season.

In other news, due to an unexpected crash of a "work in progress" hard drive we will not be able to post US AND THEM for an indefinite period of time. Sorry for the delays, we will be recovering as much material as possible for partial posting in the near future. The Obelisk a high powered Windows NT Server featuring Pentium 200 processor and 128MB of memory has come forward to be primary gateway server to The Studio. With a newly installed Diamond 56k Modem Internet access has never been faster or more reliable. Meanwhile, Beauty has taken to repreive for maintainance and system upkeep after a long overworked queen bee position on the LAN.

On the See

Mercury
Meet the only metal that is naturally found in liquid form. Mercury has been added to the Hardcorp Periodic Table having merit for its uniqueness in state. Mercury has many uses including measuring atmospheric levels including temperature and air pressure. Be careful with this element though. Not only is it poisonous if it gets in to your bloodstream, but if it spills and any of it vaporizes, the fumes can be fatal as well.

Client Side

Micro-Tech U.S.A. has a new look to their site. This week Christine Patterson completed preliminary work for Micro-Tech U.S.A. They now boast a new home page as well as a whole new section devoted to their installation and training on Windows software packages. Over the next few weeks new changes will emerge as the site gets thoroughly updated. Stop by their site now for a peek at what is to come.

Earlier this week contact was made with Trisha Breed a long standing friend of Tate Madler and an aspiring artist currently in attendance The Kansas City Art Institute. Last seen in Williamsburg Brooklyn, Trish has certainly come a long way through many tribulations. Now focused on the Fine Arts she was delighted to hear about the prospect of showing her work on the Internet, and will be submitting her portfolio to join our other galleries online. In return she has already been advocating the ways and wiles of The Studio to various departments and comercial agencies in the area. Thank you, and welcome back to our little circle, Trish!
