This was a short work week for Qru as we succumbed to the holiday spirit and celebated Thanksgiving with our families. It was a well earned break after a long period of work that interrupted routines at the Studio. Priorities have been changed as we have had to re-allocate work to Studio members best qualified for the tasks.

Vampires Biting
The Vampire Gallery is doing great! We have regular visitors to the enclave, an area for vampires to discuss their lives, loves, and difficulties with kin. Qru's popularity has been increased amongst this secretive culture. This week we received two requests for art featured in the gallery. It seems that Tate's work has found its niche. While we cannot speak for the other artists featured on the gallery, Tate has expressed interest in selling copies ofhis own work. We are offering poster quality prints from the original scans of these sketches and paintings. Prices vary according to size of print. Please contact tate@qru.com fo details.

We Burn For You
Qru Studios can burn your archives to CD-ROM for easy storage. We told you that we could burn CD-ROMs last month, but did you ever think about how it could affect you? Imagine that file cabinet of information from years ago that you have to keep but never use. The family photo album with one-of-a-kind pictures that others want too. Thesises and articles you have published all in one convenient spot. Whatever your archiving needs, Qru can help you free up space while enabling you to access your work at a moments notice. CD-ROM is an inexpensive and reliable way to store your archives. Imagine what it could do for you.

The Good and the Bad
We have some good news and some bad news this week. In the good news, the AWE32 sound card has been added to the Hydra, freeing up the SB16 SCSI with ASP (Advanced Signal Processing) for Banshee, Stacia's computer. We now have sound cards in all 7 of our local machines. The third quarter reports have come in from Fiduciary Trust Company and should be ready for posting some time this week. Due to the high volume of work we have been getting in, Stacia Zamora, our newest member, has agreed to take on our bookeeping as a permanent job. This will help us as we need to free up our technical members for other things as well as help her as she plans to learn more about accounting, a field she wishes to pursue.

The bad news is that we will be unable to post US AND THEM for an inefinite period of time. We were near completion of the site when Esoteria, our hard drive for unfinished project, sufferes from mechanical problems. Fortunately most of the information on the drive has been backed up onto CD-ROM. As this problem occured late Saturday night, we have not yet been able to contact Seagate, the manufacturer of the drive. We hope that they will be helpful in recovering the data as well as fixing the problem.

On the See

Krypton
Made famous for its ability to drain the energy of Superman, krypton really has no such properties. In fact, kryptonite does not even exisit. Krypton, along with the rest of the Noble Gasses, is useful in florecent lighting. Visit the Periodic Table to find out more about this element.

Client Side
New Look at Micro-Tech
Christine Patterson is in process of creating an entirely new site for Micro-Tech U.S.A. What started as a simple updating of data has turned into a full-fledged revamping of their site. As Micro-Tech narrows their focus to Microsoft's products for all of their clients they needed to add an entire new section to their site. The rest of the site will be given a whole new look to go with their new direction. Stay tuned for more information as the site grows and changes.

Training has begun at Pet Times. As the President wishes to gain more independance from expensive layout artists etc., Christine has come in to teach her the ins and outs of general computers tricks of the trade. Soon work will begin on Quark Express.
