The subtler the detail, the more difficult it is to execute
~Tate Madler

Many wonderful things have been brewing here this past week. Not only have we gotten the Christmas tree working and put the MAN pages on the Intranet, we have even begun the footwork for a few future projects that we will tell you more about as they develop. The most exciting development here however, is the collaboration and cooperation necessary to make any company successful.

Collaboration
Qru Studios was founded on the premise that every business venture could be a win-win situation. While some called us naive, we are starting to reap the benefits of that philosophy. Our friendships have put us in touch with some very talented people, all of whom helped us get various jobs done this week. While we have been occupied with several current projects and developing new ones, we were able to count on others, who could have been considered competition, to work on our team. On top of his usually hectic schedule, Tate was able to orchestrate a very beautiful symphony of work this week including David working on making our scripts administerable, Christine creating marketing material for two special projects, George of Kreative Web Solutions putting a very elegant program behind our Christmas tree and Corey, an independent programmer, working on Fiduciary Trust Company. This has enabled us to get far more done than previously possible. We hope to have many more weeks like this one where everyone gets to work together and we all get rewarded for our efforts.

Christmas in August
Today is August 25 and with the dog days of summer bearing down it is definitely time for Christmas. The Christmas Tree is currently up and running for everyone's Yuletide enjoyment. This cooperative project with Kreative Web Solutions is sure to achieve the same level of popularity as last year's tree on cybertree.com. So why not get started early? Hang your own decoration, link to your site or to your favorite site and let your friends send you an early Christmas message. By the time this is posted for the general public, we hope that you have helped to make this tree very successful.

On the LAN
Space
Qru Studios is undergoing expansion. More space has become available to us and members will soon have individual office space. In addition to private offices (with each one boasting a window) we will also be adding a presentation room. Clients and prospective clients will be able to view our work and discuss their future on-line from a room removed from the rest of the work area. Future plans include a projector for the viewing room - enabling several people to get the full impact of our work simultaneously.

On the See

MAN Pages
The MAN pages are back, and have been added to the iNTRAport. A help file system for members, the MAN pages give useful advice and examples on a variety of Internet related topics including Perl-CGI, Java, HTML, and even the architecture of our Intranet. Qru Studios does not claim a monopoly of knowledge on any of these topics (except our own Intranet of course). As members of the iNTRAport add to the general knowledge base we will add this information to the MAN pages through an administrative tool created by David Cole. While we have not yet made the iNTRAport available as of yet, the MAN pages are a major step in the direction of completing this valuable resource for developers. Full release is expected in the early part of October. Until then Qru members are invited to stop by for a visit to see what we are creating.

Client Side
Fiduciary Trust
After consultation with the Human Resources department, Fiduciary Trust Company decided to make some changes to that aspect of their site. The script has been revamped with the assistance of Corey Schneider, a programmer who recently started working with Qru, for more concise administration by the people at Fiduciary. After undergoing further testing by Qru and approval by the people at Fiduciary it will be available for viewing by the general public.

Chicago Gaelic Park
A slew of updates arrived from Chicago Gaelic Park this morning. The changes will be posted later this week for anyone interested in perusing upcoming events at the park.
