Verbosity leads to unclear, inarticulate things.
~Dan Quayle

It turns out that if you take out a lot of the senseless stuff, it all becomes a lot less senseless.
~Tate Madler

Welcome to all of you who have just signed up for our newsletter these past few weeks. Our list has grown in wonderful proportions and we have had an excellent circulation retention of 100% and hope to continue maintaining your interest in our "manifest density". We have also been very pleased with the instant response to our hosting packages. We are always happy to listen to your requests and concerns so please keep the E-mail flowing. As we are finishing up with our projects on the agenda, we have been planning Adore-A-Pet's renovation to their site. With several meetings with some brand new clients for our hosting and design services keep reading Qru's News because we expect to have a very exciting time these next few weeks.

VRML on a 486
Recent alteration to the Inner Outpost have made it possible to view The VRML Outpost on a 486 100 MHz with 8 megs RAM. Previously impossible, a common use of JavaScript that enables browsers to open a new window containing only the VRML was implemented. This new window effects the allocation of system resources freeing up more RAM to run the VRML application. We have also restricted the size of the VRML window making it easier for the computer to manage the video resources. Our recent optimizations have enabled us to bring high-level VRML design to people who would have otherwise have gone without.

Featuring...

Anticorp Incorporated
A political satire of Big Brother and corporate dictatorship, we are glad that Anticorp is on our side. This mega-corporation sells a modicum of products including portable holes and "the bottom line" in multiples upon request. Host site to several smaller organizations, Anticorp Incorporated strives one day to have the entire free-market world under its control. Currently hiding out on Anticorp's site are the Urban Defense Coalition, provider of real life training for urban youth in preparation for the apocalypse, and Hardcorp, a paramilitary group in training to survive anything from nuclear warfare to corporate takeover, they often recruit graduates of the UDC to their ranks. Anticorp also hosts Void Where Prohibited, E-Zine style propaganda relating the ill effects of media in society, looking to have a second issue this summer.

On the LAN
64 Megs
Last Monday we received 64 megs of RAM from Adore-A-Pet rather than the 32 we had anticipated. This contribution is not only to assist with the completion of their print material, but will serve as a commission for an overhaul to their site. Work begins this week to bring Adore-A-Pet the latest in Internet technologies. With a line of hard to find products for pets as well as Xylatol, a dental hygiene product, they need a sleek new look that will attract many visitors. Also look for tips and articles relating to pet care.

Tech Tips on Hold
In lieu of a heavier work load than we anticipated, Tech Tips has not been coming out as regularly as we would have liked. While the actual newsletter is sporadic, we do post information and tidbits on the forum often as we always have something new that we have discovered and would like to share. We anticipate being able to put out a regular Tech Tips newsletter beginning this summer when some of our long-distance staff members return. Until then, stay tuned and keep on checking the forums for new information that assist in the ever changing technical world of the Internet.

On the See
New WarpCore for the Inner Outpost
Director of Special Effects, David Cole, and Creative Director, Tate Madler, of Qru Studios Incorporated have installed a WarpDrive on the Inner Outpost. This newly installed device is all a part of our new upgrade season agenda. The WarpCore will transport visitors from anywhere in the Outpost to the front page with a new "big picture" view. Other changes to compliment the newly installed device include an upgrade to our linkBASE that enables anyone to add their favorite links to the Outpost. With a list of links in our growing database coupled with access to the most popular search engines on the 'Net, the Inner Outpost makes an excellent starting point for Internet users. You get all the advantages of Netscape's and Microsoft's home browsers with a cool look and feel for either. We have also begun the installation of our shopping cart system with a slick look and feel glowing buttons, security on duty and more. This format enables people to purchase a variety of items while perusing a site or a group of sites without having to go to an order form. While our system does not currently contain a product line, we do expect to be selling merchandise via our shopping cart with several new clients coming aboard very soon. Other possible uses are magazine subscriptions and the purchase of presents on the Auntie Productive League's Christmas Tree when that is ready for Christmas, sometime in July. If you are interested in including our shopping cart system in your service or would like to purchase the script for private use, it is available for previewing on the Inner Outpost. We have also added a brand high-impact splash screen to The Inner Outpost depicting our on-line space station in full stargate glory. Now more user friendly than ever! (NOTE:we relocated the JAVA banner that was not compatible with all browsers to a much safer place). So come and visit the Inner Outpost again, or for the first time. The Inner Outpost, your home in the shear vastness of the Internet, the threshold between space and time.

Client Side
Fiduciary
This week we posted the finished updates for Fiduciary Trust Company's site for their internal review. Some of you may have even been so priviliged as to peek at this newly refurbished and beautified Internet Entity. We have re-examined and reintegrated all of their buttons and icons as well as added navigation enhancements for a more intuitive and consistent look and feel. Also additions of information interesting to anyone who wants a glimpse into the future of today's global economy. Newly featured in this update: 1996 annual report, Fiduciary Funds, Outlook and Perspective for this quarter, and Fiduciary Financial Services Overview. Before posting the Fiduciaries have to ratify all changes. We are as anxious as you to see it "go live" on the Internet, and of course, we will be sure to let you know as soon as it does so that you can see for yourself.

In Memoriam

Remembering Maita Ruth Levine
Qru Studios would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of Maita Ruth Levine, grandmother of Noah Simon. She died recently of a heart attack and cancer. Mrs. Levine graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in chemistry and math during World War II. Maita enjoyed music and she gave lessons to local Pittsburgh children. She was very involved in the early Zionist movement. She questioned all doctrines and manifestoes and found refuge in the study of science and mathematics. Maita was President of the charity Technion of Israel. She was a great Jewish homemaker, but she was also a very strong feminist. Maita was a pillar of the Jewish community in Squirrel Hill. She will be greatly missed by the 5 children and 13 grandchildren who survive her.
