Get up, get out, do something significant.
~Anticorp Incorporated

We have spun many a plate in the past but seldom so many, so fast, we have yet to be quite so busy as we have been at Qru Studios this past week. Currently, we are working on several clients sites as well as setting up hosting packages for sites with a variety of needs. The near future sees the expansion of our staff as we need to accommodate ever increasing workloads. We are highly optimistic right now as we see the company going in the direction we always dreamed it would. We would like to send our heart-felt thanks and great appreciation to all of you who continue to have faith in us and support us throughout our endeavors helping to make Qru Studios a force to contend with in the Internet community.

New Look for Fiduciary
We have created a more sophisticated and professional look and feel to Fiduciary Trust's site. Changes include increased interactivity, more intuitive navigation, and greater consistency between the various sections. Much of the material, including their financial outlook, and perspectives and new too the site; their 1996 annual report. As well their site will include information about their Dublin Global and U.S. funds, a new chapter Fiduciary Financial Services Corp., a subsidiary of Fiduciary Trust Company will also be a new addition. Special features added will be the debut of an Intranet application for the posting and viewing of career opportunities on the Fiduciary Web site from their Human Resources department.

Featuring...

The KnowMadz
We have spoken of them often and added much material to their site, at last we are introducing you to - The KnowMadz. The KnowMadz are the forerunner of Qru Studios Incorporated. They started as a group of students interested in learning about and spreading the ideas of various cultures to the world. This eclectic group came together for a time and resided in the House where they formalized their ideas into a central belief and wrote their Manifesto. Today the KnowMadz are spread out throughout the country and the world (KnowMadz are not known for their stationary lifestyle). But they all have a common home on the Internet where they keep in touch with each other and present to the world what they have learned in their travels. Currently the KnowMadz site includes a Metaphysical section telling people about the variety of belief systems that are practiced in the world now and throughout the past. They encourage others to add to the information they have in that section as it is impossible for such a small group to keep on top of everything. They are all about as busy as we are. For this reason The KnowMadz also host a cultural forum where people can post their thoughts and practices for open discussion with whoever stops by. The medium is similar to a newsgroup but with controls for junk postings and messages do not get discarded just because they have been up for a certain length of time. The KnowMadz are host-site to the Auntie Productive League. They are the holders of our unfinished projects and have some fun stuff in there as well including a year round Christmas Tree. The KnowMadz site also includes a calendar of holidays for many religions and a rather large map that brings people to locations of all the sites created by the KnowMadz and sponsored by Qru Studios.

On the LAN
Scripting
We are in process of creating two new scripts. For Fiduciary Trust Company we are creating a script that will enable them to put their own job listings on line. This is based on our calendar script with similar add, modify and delete characteristics but with a custom designed interface. We are also awaiting changes to our shopping cart system for public use. We plan on marketing this mainly to our own hosting clients turning the Inner Outpost into the "mall" it was originally conceived to be. As the shopping cart becomes available to the public we will be sure to let you know.

BRAIN RAMage
The first phase of the 1997 upgrade plan will go into effect late Monday. We are expecting "Beauty", our resident Pentium 166, to have 64 megs RAM by contribution of two 16 Megabytes of EDO RAM from Adore-A-Pet, Ltd. This will help expedite the process of making the comic strip for their Xylatol products print ready. This will expand our capabilities of creating large scale print graphics as well as making Beauty a more effective server in the long run.

On the See
Frames Away
Our recent efforts have been to optimize our sites for all viewers. While we still utilize advanced HTML features not always supported by older browsers, we have made some changes that should make many peoples visits to our sites more enjoyable. Both the Know Madz Library and the Urban Defense Coalition have been de-framed. Frames can make for more intuitive browsing as the menus remain consistent, but they are often overused or misused. We will be eliminating our frames from any section where the benefits are not obvious. This will not only allow non-frames viewers to see the same site as other viewers, it will also keep us from having to duplicate all of our material to accommodate various browser specifications.

Client Side
On the Move
We have completed work for Fiduciary Trust Company a week ahead of schedule. Our efficiency will enable us to accommodate the comic for Adore-A-Pet to be printed this coming week. We are still awaiting word from Cenflo, Inc. to complete work on their site. While we have a prototype ready, we expect to have it ready for posting in the next two weeks with their okay. We are also in process of setting up our first hosting clients. Of course you will all be invited to visit all of these sites as the projects are completed.
