Time Saving Tips

  1. Don't procrastinate. The best time to do something is Now.
  2. Have a schedule or make a list.
  3. Set up objectives for projects and when parts of those projects are to be completed.
  4. Keep track of due dates for papers, projects, etc. Put up a bulletin board in your room to remind you of dates.
  5. If you can't figure out what to do first - work from the top of the pile.
  6. Be Flexible.
  7. If you can't follow the schedule you set for yourself, CHANGE IT! See how the new one works and change it again until you find one that does work.
  8. Schedule your fun too. This doesn't mean that if you feel tense or under pressure at any one point in time you shouldn't take time to get the kinks out.
  9. Be reasonable. You will find that there are times when an impulse will drive you to break the schedule just remember that you will need to catch up somewhere down the road
  10. How many hours can you afford to work? (remember travel time if off campus) If you need to work to stay in school consider the number of hours required to pay the bills - when you sign up for courses.
